Program Manager, Prince George's Community College (PGCC)

Mr. Wontae Neal serves as the Pre-Transfer Advising Program Manager for Prince George’s Community College. He holds a Master’s Degree in Communications and is currently working on his PhD in Higher Education at Liberty University with his research in African-American Faculty Retention in Community College.

Mr. Neal has worked effectively in significant academic advising and student services related entities over recent years. His previous role was at Prince George’s Community College as an Academic and Career Advisor serving student populations including transfer, Chapter13 academic planning and at-risk students. He models an advocate-based philosophy; providing leadership in programmatic effectiveness, upholding campus life, and encouraging creativity to advance the overall student experience. His most purposeful work has focused on reimagining the holistic student experience and leading beyond the status quo to enhance data driven outcomes, ensure operational proficiency, and reenergize culture. Mr. Neal’s aim is to not simply adopt best practices, but produce meaningful learning outcomes that maximize career readiness.

In his spare time, he is a foodie that loves to travel and spend time with his family. He resides in Woodbridge, VA with his wife, daughter and bundle of joy on the way.
