Jill Nagiel

Jill joined the Pre-Transfer Advising team after almost a decade as an academic and transfer advisor at Anne Arundel Community College (AACC). She advised students from all majors and helped them understand and navigate the transfer process. Jill also worked in Academic Support Services at Howard Community College.

Jill loves utilizing technology to facilitate the advising process and helped develop the Virtual Advising program at AACC. In addition to teaching a student success course at AACC and the University of Maryland Global Campus, Jill also developed and taught a course designed to help faculty members effectively support and engage their students.  

A former Spanish teacher and guidance counselor, Jill received her Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Spanish and History from Tulane University prior to earning her teacher certification from Georgia State University. A proud Terp, Jill earned her Master of Education degree in College Student Personnel from the University of Maryland.
